Aarhus University rebranding design, fictional case.
This project is a redesign of
Aarhus Universitet, where I developed a
new visual identity under the name
NORDEN. The name change was used as a
concept to explore how a university in Denmark could present
itself as more open, international, and modern.
My
workflow focused on building a strong but flexible identity
system. I started with the logo and grid-based forms inspired by
modernist and Bauhaus principles, then developed a color palette
that works for both digital and print, followed by typography with
two wordmarks — a sans serif for global and digital communication,
and a serif for print and formal use.
The project also
includes rules for layout, tone of voice, image style, and color
balance to ensure the identity stays consistent across different
platforms.
